craftwerks new media is based in Cortlandt Manor, NY and run by Rick Wiley.

A graduate of Syracuse University, Rick spent several years in the Advertising Industry. His interest in website construction began as a hobby, and has evolved into 8 solid years of experience with web development, marketing and administation. He still adhears to an old web development code, that page design and coding should be fast and efficient. We may appear to have all the bandwidth we need, but why waste it?

Rick started out designing sites back in the fall of 1995, back when web browsers were new and your only tool to design a website was a text editor and a hand scanner. His first venture was a weekly online comic strip. Shortly after, he began the White Trash Cafe in March 1996. It started as a 'joke', yet gained national recognition from Newsweek and Entertainment Weekly.

This year craftwerks looks to increase its client base by reaching out to the community of Northern Westchester county. We look to help small/independent business owners and non-profit organizations obtain a professional web presence without the cost of "professional" design companies.

Rick also teaches Flash and Photoshop classes at the Katonah Art Center in Katonah, NY.
